Our practice facilities

To prepare for your round at The Machrie, take advantage of our exceptional practice and tuition facilities, which are among the most comprehensive in Scotland.

There’s a covered driving range, hitting out into a huge expanse, with a variation of target greens from 50 to 270 yards to enable you to warm up or practice all aspects of your game before heading out to the links. Few golfers can reach the end of this range!

En route to the 1st tee are a putting green and short-game area where you will find similar conditions and challenges that you will find on the links. You can also work on your bunker play.

Introducing the Hebrides

We are especially proud of our “Hebrides” putting green, located between the 1st and 18th fairways. This enormous 4,550 square metres of fun, inspired by the “Himalayas” alongside the Old Course at St Andrews, features all conceivable slopes and contours and can be enjoyed by experts, novices and families alike.

For a thorough short-game examination head to the six hole par three Wee Course, which will surely pay dividends when you get out on the links. And it’s a fun way to introduce the whole family to golf.

Even bad weather does not mean that golf is off for the day – visit our Golf Academy to practise on our Trackman 4 or enjoy playing other famous courses with our simulator.
